A new video has been uploaded.
Puts Eton in the Shade is a 26-minute film made in 1995. It documents the opening of the school, its first few days and the efforts of the community to bring local education to north west Sutherland. It has been copied from VHS tape but the quality is good.

After a long parent-led campaign to locate a high school in the north west Sutherland, Kinlochbervie High School opened its doors in September 1995 to 26 pupils in S1 and S2. Prior to 1995, local children attended Golspie High School and lived in hostels.
To celebrate the first 20 years, we have had a weekend of festivities – school concert, soup and sweet and dance.

This is our new school website. The front page will be in the form of a blog that will contain all the latest news and will be updated “as it happens”.
Since January 2015, the Kinlochbervie High School website had received over 15,000 hits. But the site experienced severe technical problems this past summer and we have begun building a new one. Over the next few months we will transfer much of the information from the old site to this one.
The header photograph was taken by Kinlochbervie resident Gary Sutherland. Thank you Gary for the beautiful photo.
