The storage heaters at the school are being replaced by a new biomass heating system. The plumbers will be in the school most weekdays until March 2017.
Neil Galbraith, the school’s English teacher, has been appointed as a Principal Teacher. He will join the school’s Senior Management team along Graeme Smart, Heather Paterson and Kirsty Robson.
Highland Council is proposing a new management structure for Kinlochbervie High School and the three area primary schools: Durness, Kinlochbervie and Scourie. Parent Council Chairs have already met with Highland Council officials.

All parents/carers are invited to attend an upcoming meeting at Kinlochbervie High School on Tuesday 6 December at 7:00 pm. Mr Barry Northedge (Quality Improvement Manager) and members of the current management team from all the schools will be available to answer questions on the new management structure.
Should you have any questions before the meeting of should you be unable to attend, please contact Graeme Smart who will be happy to discuss it with you. You may also contact the Chairs of any of the Parent Councils who will be happy to ask questions on your behalf.
S4-S6 Parents Evening will be held on Wednesday 23 November 2016 between 4:00 pm – 7:00 pm. Letters and appointment sheets went home earlier this week.
S1-S3 Parents Evening will be held on Wednesday 7 December 2016.
Andy McKechnie will be running Jammin Fitness sessions at the school on Friday 25 November 2016.

The school is raising money for BBC Children in Need on Friday 18 November 2016.
Come to schooll wearing Pyjamas or a Onesie. Pupils taking part should bring in a donation of £2.
There will also be a bake sale at morning interval and House Challenges after lunch.
All donation of home bakes will be gratefully received.
Pudsey Ears and wristbands are now on sale at the high school office – £2.50 for ears and £1 for a wristband.
