To raise funds for the Vancouver field trip (4-11 October 2017), we will be having several fundraising events. The first is a Valentine’s Hamper.
Parents should send in an item for the hamper by next Monday. One item per family group is sufficient. Pupils will also be expected to actively sell the raffle tickets in their villages.
The hamper will have a red-coloured theme so where possible try to buy items with this in mind.
Some hamper ideas:
- sparkling rose wine
- Valentine’s Day decorations
- heart-shaped biscuits
- red-coloured shower gel/bath foam/soap
- heart-shaped accessories – dish, mirror, magnet, sign, etc etc
- Valentine’s teddy
- Love Heart sweets
- Love Songs CD
- Rom Com DVD
- cup cakes
…and any other items you feel are suitable!
All items should be handed in by Monday 6 February. Pupils will then be given tickets to sell in their area.
The flights for Vancouver have now been booked. Important information about the trip (payment, passports, visas, fundraising) is being sent home today with pupils. The letter can be viewed by clicking the link below.

The school would like to extend a big welcome to our newest member of staff. Mr Christopher Mounfield started work as a Teacher of Mathematics at the beginning of the new term. We would also like to extend our thanks to Miss Shannon who had been filling the Mathematics gap for several months.
Just in case you missed the videos…
As part of the Youth and Philanthropy Initiative (http://ypiscotland.org.uk
), three teams of S3 pupils made presentations in December before a judging panel in a bid to secure £3,000 for their chosen charity. Each team had prepared a video that showcased their charity. The winning charity was the Ceilidh House. Door donations at the school’s annual Christmas Concert raised a further £424 for the other two charities.

A few photos from the Christmas Concert (21 December 2016) have been added to the Photo Gallery page.
The school’s Christmas show on 21 December was a great success. Donations at the door raised £212 for the two chosen charities: Befrienders Highland and The Crocus Group. This will be matched by our 3 local Highland Councillors for a grand total of £424. In addition, the raffle raised £293.50 for school funds. Thank you to everyone who contributed so generously.
